Exercise v. Diet

05.10.2011 / Kelly Andrews / No Comments »

This Thursday, in Ottawa, two of Canada’s leading experts on obesity and weight management will debate which is the most effective treatment and prevention for obesity: exercise or diet.

As readers of this blog know, we spend a good deal of time here talking about changing behavior. And long-term weight management is one area where behavior change is particularly difficult.

I rarely believe in magic bullets, thinking rather that the best answer usually lies between two absolutes.

Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to hearing Dr. Freedhoff and Dr. Ross debate Forks versus Feet  from a scientific perspective.

If you want to listen in, you can sign in to the live-streaming the event at 11:55 am on May 12th, here.
